what about my weekend?

it's not over but it's shaping up reasonably well.

we had a bit of a unpleasantness yesterday afternoon because Beloved came home in a snit. he'd gone from ecstatic about the amount of our tax return, to a foul nasty temper because a policeman had had the effrontery to stop him from going 37 in a 25 mile zone. but to Beloved's point, he was rounding a corner out of a 45 mile zone, and the cop snagged him right on the corner. as Beloved said, obviously he was slowing down.

the fledgling purple rose writers' circle went really well. we're small and open to new members, but already i can see the group bonding. i like that we are a diverse group of like-minded and spirited women. i know the right people will join us when they're ready.

the weather is predicted to be bad today. i'm planning to go to the store. we really do need milk and cream. somethnig for supper wouldn't be a bad idea either. i'm looking forward to a snow day tomorrow.

so far i've spent this morning in a bit of quiet meditation. i rearranged the johnny depp story so you can scroll down and read it in order. i've caught up on comments and emails. i've sized up my bathroom project and am proud to say i was able to cross quite a few items off my list. i'm looking forward to this evening's radio show with laura. (i hope some of you will join us!)

so that's my weekend so far... how about yours? :)

annie: that writer's circle does sound great, and I wish I weren't so far away. it's nice that we can still do a virtual connection.

excellent of you to post the Johnny Depp story. I love that!

I'm watching the flakes float outside my window. it's been a long, cold winter, I think.

your devotion to your blog has made it a better winter... thanks for all your inspiration.

Happy Sunday to you. I hope you get all of your projects done. I have some I want to do. Those storage bins are still waiting for me.

Oh that stinks about the ticket.

I wish you lots of luck with purple rose writers' circle. Sounds like you are off to a good start.

This weekend has been pretty boring for us. Today we're going to see the Dr. Suess event at Target and maybe stop by to see a friend's son play indoor soccer.

...sounds like a totally unfair ticket to me. I wish I could listen in on your radio station, maybe SOON! ...sounds quite interesting.

It sounds like an unfair ticket to me too. I don't know how things work where you are, but here in Maine you stand a good chance of beating or at least lessening it if you go in and contest. My daughter had to, to keep her horrible insurance semi-affordable.

Sorry about your hubby's run in with the "law"..never a fun thing to happen!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday, Annie!

Hi, I managed to listen to the last half of your radio show. I spent a good bit of time trying to figure out what I was doing.
I really enjoyed it! You and Laura have lovely voices.
Funny thing... as you were suggesting cats maybe don't go to heaven, my monster Colby grabbed my printer and misaligned the cartridge. Thanks a lot. LOL

I've spent most of my weekend knitting, baking, and reading.

Nasty old policeman! I can't even imagine having a snow day! I would love that! I'm still in a hot cocoa frame of mind!

We've been out of town for the weekend and my 6 yr old had an Irish dance performance today...so cute! Yippee for March!

LOL I feel JUST like Beloved when I get a ticket. Usually the patrolman JUST missed a true speeder and instead pulled me over! Oh how I hate that!!
