thinking spring... giveaway, that is!

the air didn't claw my face for the first time in forever when i walked the puppies first thing. maybe not quite forever, but it sure has felt like it. according to one of the local weather gurus, this year has been particularly cold and icey. and windy, too... i can hear it starting up again, in fact. at least this time, it brings a kiss of spring.

which brings me to my newest superawesome giveaway and a couple additions to my blog. you might have noticed the new button in the upper left. if you pick up the button, i'll give you three entries - if you blog about the show, i'll give you five! lynette's already picked up TEN extra entries, cause she was our FIRST caller!!!!

the winner will be announced on march 20, the first day of spring. ive been contemplating what to put in it... so in the spirit of aloha friday... please share with me, gentle readers... what sort of things do YOU consider essential for spring?

thank you to everyone who's been following my short story... the end is coming... SOON!

and furthermore, the war will end. blessed be.

The #1 most important this for spring is a pedicure. Gotta get the toes looking good for sandal weather. Not sure how you can put that into a giveaway ....

I miss spring. It was beautiful around here yesterday. The thing that comes to mind for spring besides is light pink or nude lipgloss.

SPRING HAS TO HAVE SEEDS. NEW BIRTH IN THE EARTH. WEATHER THEY ARE VEGGIES OR FLOWERS THEY MUST BE PLANTED. NEW BIRD HOUSES FOR THE BEATUIFUL SONG MAKERS TOO. OH AND I ALSO LOVE PUTTING IN A NEW SET OF FLAVORED TEA FOR A COOL DRINK ON THE FRONT PORCH. COME JOIN ME THIS YEAR AND WE WILL KICK BACK AND BASK IN THE HEAT. IT IS ALREADY IN 80'S HERE! For me the most important part of spring isn't anything that can be given by a person..it's just the way I feel when I see the first crocus peeking out of the ground, and sun shining and just that feeling of knowing that spring is really on the bloom. Unfortunately living in Chicago getting to spring is a long and drawn out process that makes arriving at spring all the better. :)

Oh, I love giveaways...I'm just not the luckiest gal this side of the Mississippi(sniff, sniff). It's always fun to participate, anyway!

Essentials for spring??? Hmmm...I love nice smelling, moisturizing lotion if I'm going to expose my legs in a pair of shorts! I, also, love necklaces with bright, cheery colors. Oh, and a Cadbury egg definitely is a must! :)

The best part about spring is watching the buds push through the ground even when a little snow still lingers. I just love crocuses, daffodils and tulips.

For me what's important is definitely some good cleaning supplies. It's time to get the cobwebs out and wash the windows and get the house ready for spring. I also require new gardening gloves and seeds to get ready for planting!
