dodging the bullet

Beloved, after a sleepless night due to an achy back, decided not to go to brooklyn today. i can't say i'm disappointed.

my brother's coming thursday - we're meeting him, my sister, and all my nieces and nephews in old sturbridge village which is just over the massachusetts line. i've never been there (they don't let me out much) but i know my mother stopped there on her honeymoon with my stepfather. they took a driving trip through new england, and i remember as a child hearing my mother talk about much she'd like to live here. i think it's sort of funny that both her daughters seem to have roosted here.

i need today to focus and get things done. but first im going back to bed on this soft, rainy gray sunday .... and snuggle with libby.

and furthermore, the war will end. blessed be.

Hopefully I was a good feeling in the dream, not an ominous one. Next time you are heading to the Newburgh area, give a call. Perhaps we could meet somewhere for lunch?

Sturbridge Village..always wanted to go to that. It's about 2 hours from my house or so..maybe less. Maybe we will take Alanna.....

I send the best to Beloved and his Mom, and of course to you, my dear friend. I love Sturbridge Village, I went there as a young'un and have happy memories.

You're making me want to crawl back into bed too!

You need to take photos of this little travel venture you're taking!

I am ready for my nap but I have to wait until the little one is out.

I had a lot to catch up on being a way for a week. What a beautiful letter to your Daddy. I hope Meg's shoulder is healing nicely. You survived your visit from your Mom. Hey, I could use a little motivational cleaning if she wants to branch out. The picture project is looking fantastic. If you have more paint to buy I just received discount cards for Sherwin Williams. And I wish you and Beloved all the best with his Mom.
