sunday sprint

i like days i get things done. i like starting my week off with a clean room and bathroom. i like having a framework within which to function. i like having, as my grandmothher used to say, a plan of attack.

i shared my food plan for katie's house with meg, upon whom the brunt of the work and responsibility will fall. she eyed me first with horror, then alarm. i don't want to have to know how to do all this, she protested.

it's good training, i insisted. you'll have to know how to do all this eventually some day- this is meal planning and shopping and menu choosing and feeding people. if you don't let me teach you how to do this, you're going to have to figure it out on your own. and if you don't learn now, while you have this opportunity, it's going to make your life that much harder when you have a family of your own.

i know, she replied with a deep sigh and an air of resignation, as she went off with the plan and a cook book under her arm.

and furthermore, the war must end. blessed be.

I need some of your getting things done mojo today. my house looks like a train wreck...by the by, i read 'ritual in death' by jd robb and they stole your line...there was a witch who walked into the aftermath of a black magick ritual and announced "bad juju here"!! :)

Sounds like a plan. Can she come to my house, too?

I have a new plan today too!
But you have to wait. I will have it on here later today.
I think you will be proud of me in more than one way.
Doesn't it feel better when you know which way your headed.

When you're right, you're right.

But I don't need to tell you that.

I love starting the week (or day with a clean house it makes everything seem to run much smoother. Meg's meal planning sounds like my cooking school for the kids. Some day I hope they will appreciate it.

plan of attack ........ could you bottle that one please??

Right now my house looks like "who did it and ran". Between the wood "chips" from the wood bin and the wood stove and the calcium pellets that "somehow" manage to come inside the house instead of staying on the steps.......and then the day to day stuff that "happens". Well you get the picture.

And I'm having an open house type graduation party on Sunday - that gives me 6 days (I'll never be ready)

LOL this reminds me of me in reverse. One day hubby came in while I was sweeeping and started laughing. He said, "Have you EVER swept before?" NOPE. Not before college. Domestic Goddess had not been in my plans..goes to show you should always be prepared.

I look around my house at all the things I need to do and feel so overwhelmed since I have no energy! One day (soon) I hope to finally vacuum!!
